Ynys Llanddwyn- Lovers' Isle
Join us for a guided day-long bike ride along quiet roads where we will come across Anglesey’s history and prehistory as well as enjoying the wildlife. Visit Llanddwyn, the island named after Dwynwen, Wales’ Patron saint of lovers.
We meet at Llangefni for a leisurely flat cycle off-road across Cors Ddyga and Cors Malltraeth, and an RSPB Nature Reserve and along one quiet stretch of road towards Newborough forest- where we may see red squirrels or here the cawing of the ravens as we cycle towards the sea.
Bring a picnic and we’ll leave the bikes to walk across the beach to beautiful Llanddwyn Island (keeping an eye on the tide so that our stay is not too long!) The home-made food in the café on our return is a well-deserved reward for your 17 miles of cycling even if you didn’t meet or conquer any big hills!
Bring your own bike (Please note: road tyres are not recommended for the sandy forest track) or bike hire from us. Advance booking is essential, please contact us or complete our booking form to book your place.
